  49. With the FileSplitter you are able to extract one or more files out of a
  50. [.lha/.lzh] file.
  51. Moreover you are able to select files and directories ( MULTISELECT ),
  52. pack them as an extra file.lha or add them to an file.
  53.  
  54. Why that ?
  55.  
  56. Maybe you just want to extract one doc.file or programm.file out of a 
  57. packet and the packet is about 600 KBytes. And you haven`t a Turboboard.
  58. It nervs waiting for the packet is extracted. And may you have less memory
  59. for extracting into the RAM:, etc.
  60.  
  61. Meanwhile I reached the Version 1.2. This version is able to pack file(s)
  62. and directories. 
  63. So it is something like an Usersurface for the packer LHA and LZ.

  66. INSTALLATION:
  67. ------------
  68.     CLI:  Just enter FileSplitter and press return.
  69.  
  70.           If you are running from the CLI/Shell, the FileSplitter take
  71.            his internal / default settings to run.

  169.                                        selected entries, not the whole
  170.                                        path starting from the device.
  171.                                        -x = Use Pathnames
  172.                                        a  = add / pack

  175.             WINDOWDELAY=2          ....Time in seconds for closing the
  176.                                        Shell Window. If you will select
  177.                                        0, in the EXTRACT/LISTWINDOW will
  178.                                        appear "Press RETURN..."
  179.                                        The Window stays, aslong as you 
  180.                                        press RETURN.

  189. If there is something wrong with the settings you made, may you forgot a
  190. letter, the windowsettings are incorrect, wrong path, or something like
  191. this, the FileSplitter will flash the screen.

  194. If you want to set the default settings, just click on CANCEL in any 
  195. Requester ( for all settings like, DEST_PATH, PACKPATH, SEARCHPATH)
  196. and the default settings are set ......
  197. These are the same settings, as you would start from the CLI.

  217.    For quitting the Programm, the same as QUIT in the menue.

  220. Show List and Show Extract
  221. --------------------------

  223.    The Gadgets Show List and Show Extract are for testing the files,
  224.    eg. the file could have a CRC - Error. You will just notice that, 
  225.    if you have an output for the packer and the returncode and may a
  226.    flash of the screen.

  229. Key=SPACE or the CYCLE-Gadget

  232.    The Cycel-Gadget has different Usages:
  233.  
  234.     1.  INFORMATION         ...little Info
  235.     2.  EXTRACT FILE(S)     ...select the .lha file
  236.     3.  PACK FILE(S)        ...for pack files and directories
  237.     4.  PALETTE             ...change colours
  238.  
  239.    The functions you can swap with SPACE. To activate take the START
  240.    Gadget or press RIGHT-AMIGA-S.

  246.    With this Gadget you will start the Action you`ve selected in the 
  247.    CYCLE-GADGET.

  253.    Here you can select the packer, eg. LHA or LZ.
  254.    If you will select CANCEL, the FileSplitter will take his default

  261.    Here you can select the destinationpath ( device or directory )

  269.    It will open a new window, where you can set the Pack-, List- and
  270.    the Extractoptions.( See TOOLTYPEARRAYS how to set ! ) 
  271.    If you will select CANCEL, the FileSplitter will take his default

  288. Files extract:
  289. -------------

  291.    Set the Cyclegadget on EXTRACT FILES and press the START Gadget.
  292.    The Requester will appear, where you can select the File. If you have 
  293.    switched on the SHOW LIST Gadget, you can see the extracted list.
  294.    If it is everything okay, there will be 5 new Gadgets.
  295.    Now you can see the List of the .LHA/.LZH packet. If you click on one 
  296.    File, the FileSplitter will extract it. If you switched on the SHOW
  297.    EXTRACT GAGDET, you can see th EXTRACT-ACTION  in a Shell Window.
  298.    After extracting, the file will be deleted out of the List-Window.
  299.    If you click on the MULTICHOICE Gadget, you are able to select more than
  300.    one file. After clicking on the MULTI-DOIT, the FileSplitter will start 
  301.    to extract, or you clicked on the last File. Thisone will be extract
  302.    automaticly.

  304.    For switch of the MULTICHOICE, click on MULTI-DOIT, but only, if you 
  305.    haven`t choose a file. If you already selected some, the FileSplitter
  306.    will extract them first.
  307.  
  308.    The NO MORE Gadget will stop everything and goes back to the Mainmenue.
  309.  
  310.    The NEW FILE Gadget will stop everything and goes back to the Fileselect
  311.    Requester for selecting new files. In case of that the MULTICHOICE Gadget
  312.    is activated and you selected files, they will be ignored.

  315. Key=RIGHT-AMIGA-N or the NO MORE-Gadget
  316. ---------------------------------------

  318.    This key is for getting back to the Mainmenue as you would start the
  319.    FileSplitter. May you want to select a different file or change any
  320.    Options.

  323. Key=RIGHT-AMIGA-F or the NEW FILE-Gadget
  324. ----------------------------------------

  326.    Opens the Filerequester for read a new file. Multichoosed file
  327.    won`t extracted.

  330. Key=RIGHT-AMIGA-M or the MULTICHOICE-Gadget

  333.    If this Gadget is activated, it will be unselectable. If you now 
  334.    select files, the FileSplitter will extract them till you click
  335.    on the MULTI-DOIT Gadget.
  336.    If you didn`t choose a file, the screen will flash and the 
  337.    FileSplitter goes back to the EXTRACT Modus.

  340. Key=RIGHT-AMIGA-D or the MULTI-DOIT-Gadget
  341. ------------------------------------------

  343.    This Gadget is only active, if you select the MULTICHOICE.
  344.    Clicking on the MULTI-DOIT will start extracting the selected
  345.    files. Non-selected files will show again.    
  346.

  348. Pack File(s):
  349. ------------
  350.  
  351.    Select PACK FILE(S) with the CYCLE-Gadget and press START. A
  352.    MULTISELECT-REQUESTER will appear and you can choose more than
  353.    one file with the SHIFT Key.
  354.    After you selected the files, it will appear 4 new Gadgets and a
  355.    Listgadget. You can see all selected files and directories.
  356.    You can remove single files with the REMOVE Gadget. Click again on
  357.    the REMOVE Gadget and you can go on.
  358.    Now a Requester will appear, where you can enter path and the NAME.LHA.
  359.    Press OK and the FileSplitter will pack. If you have left some Files,
  360.    just click on it. The FileSplitter will add them to the archive.

  364. Key=RIGHT-AMIGA-C or the CANCAL-Gadget

  367.    This Gadget will cancel everything and goes back to the Startmenue.

  373.    This Gadget will start packing the selected files or directories.
  374.    After packing, the FileSplitter goes back to the Startmenue.

  380.    If you click on this Gadget, you can remove files and directories
  381.    out of the list.
  382.    Click again on the REMOVE Gadget to deactivate it. Now you can
